Amethyst Ehrler
Hi, CCASC Families. My name is Amethyst Ehrler, RN, BSN. I’m a native of SLO County. I started my career as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, spent some time as a School Nurse, and then returned to working in the Neonatal Intensive Care. I stopped working in the hospital in 2020 due to our family’s increasing health needs. Our child was placed in a Special Day Class in 2021, then diagnosed with Autism in 2022 at the age of 4. We began receiving Regional Center services and In-Home Support Services in 2022. I found that the process we went through was difficult. So, I created a step by step guide from School District to Regional Center to Medi-Cal waiver to IHSS. Please contact me if interested in receiving access to this comprehensive guide. In 2024, I began my training to become an Independent Facilitator and Person Centered Planner in the Self-Determination Program for the Regional Center. My experiences from the NICU, working for a school district, life experiences with our child, and my training in the SDP can help you through each of these programs and processes that we face as parents of a child(ren) with Autism. I look forward to connecting with you via email. All the best, Amethyst.
