Kyle Austin

Member at Large, Board of Directors

Born and raised in San Luis Obispo County, Kyle first started helping out the center as a volunteer in 2012. Some of his friends while growing up were on the Autism Spectrum and they often did not get the help they needed. This inspired him to start volunteering at the center to help others like his friends to find resources, eventually becoming a board member in 2023. He Graduated from Cuesta College in 2013 with a degree in Liberal Arts and is currently studying to be a Veterinary Technician. He worked as a Camp Counselor for the Center during two of the Center’s Camp Expedition events, has helped set up Dances and game nights, and has even led outdoor activities such as hiking for people on the spectrum. He loves nature walks, animals, and connecting with the Autistic community and hopes to help people on the spectrum get the help that his friends in the past could not.
