Cherice Kelso

Member at Large, Board of Directors

Cherice Kelso is an animal-loving, outdoor, traveling enthusiast.  She has taught hands-on science to kindergarten through 10th grade students in various schools for the past 20 years.  She currently is an instructor at Cal Poly in the multiple and single subject programs teaching graduate candidates seeking their teaching credential.  She also brings science enrichment to after-school programs in Lucia Mar.  Here, she coaches Cal Poly undergraduate mentors interested in teaching through authentic experiences while out in the field.  Cherice began her journey in education directing various outdoor summer camps, running her own after-school enrichment programs in San Diego and SLO counties, and serving as a naturalist at Rancho El Chorro.  Cherice adores her family and seeks to soak up every bit of life with them.  She is also always on the look out for their next new adventure together!
